14yr old Dean Ball has been in action again at Thorpe Park, training ground of the British squad. Dean achieved a personal best by getting into the 52kph range for the 1st time. He was being trained by Ray Stocks from Australia who had been brought in to train the British team before the world cup

29/6/2004 Congratulations to Dean Ball (14 yrs old) and Simon Sharp for their result in the Sale two round Slalom on Wednesday night 23 June 04.
It is the first lime the club has been represented since the early nineties, although the conditions were horrendous as the strong winds and rain made it very difficult they both skied very well in the two round Slalom competition.

It was the first time Dean has entered a competition and the first time Simon has entered a league event.

Dean came first in division 4 and Simon came first in division 3.

Dean completed a pass at 40 and 43kph and made 3 ¼ at 46kph despite having to have a rerun due to a swan being in the course
Simon completed a pass at 49 and 52kph and made 1 at 55kp despite having two reruns due to the timing of the boat being out.

Well done to them both and good look for the next one.
