About Weaver Sailing Club

W.S.C. is a sailing club formed 30 years ago to promote and facilitate the sport of dinghy sailing. The Club is located on the lower reaches of the River Weaver near Frodsham, Cheshire, with various categories of membership immediately available which are detailed on the Membership page.

A regular programme of handicapped class racing takes place from late March to November on Sundays with Club sailing taking place on Sundays and Tuesday evenings (Summer). The river is non-tidal and permits sailing to take place at any time with the exception of Thursday evenings.

The Clubhouse is built on an old river barge but is due to be replaced with a new building,planning permission having now been granted by the local authority.You can now find a brief history of the barge in the menus on the left
